제19회 서귀포 겨울바다 국제펭귄수영대회 The 19th Seogwipo Penguin Swimming Festival

'2019 힘찬 출발! 멋진 다짐!' 2000년에 처음 시작한 뒤 매년 개최되어 19회째를 맞이한 이 행사는 겨울 바다에 뛰어들어 새해의 각오와 소원을 기원하는 행사이다. 

펭귄 핀 이색 달리기, 씨름왕 선발 대회, 새해 소망 기원 풍선 날리기 등 다양한 프로그램이 준비되어 있으며, 

색달동 마을 주민들이 정성스럽게 준비한 몸국, 돔베고기 같은 따뜻한 토속음식도 맛볼 수 있다. 

'Vigorous start in 2019! & Nice resolution.' Turning its 19th anniversary since it started in 2000,

the festival is to wish for New year's resolutions and make New year's wishes jumping into the sea.

Diverse programs such as penguin pin after running, king penguins wrestling tournament and flying the balloons making

wishes are prepared and visitors can enjoy the warm local food such as momguk (gulfweed soup) and dombe meat (boiled pork)

which residents of Saekdal village prepare with great care.
