청도 읍성 밟기 Cheongdo Eubseongbalbgi

매년 3월에 개최되는 청도 읍성 밟기는 부녀 자들이 성곽 위에 올라가 산성의 능선을 따라 밟으며 열을 지어 도는 풍속을 재현한 것으로,

남자들은 읍성을 지키고 여자들은 성벽을 튼튼하게 다지면서 무기로 활용할 돌을 머리에 이고 운반하던 데서 유래된 전통 민속축제 이다.

2009년 청도 읍성 복원을 계기로 민속 축제 형태로 다시 시작된 청도 읍성 밟기는 순국선열을 위한 진혼 공연, 마상무예 시범, 화양 여성 농악단 풍물놀이,

초청 가수 공연 등 다양한 공연과 체험 프로그램으로 꾸며질 예정이다.

The Cheongdo Eubseongbalbgi, which is held in March every year, is a reproduction of the costumes of women walking along the ridge of the castle.

It is a traditional folk festival that is originated from men protecting the city and women carrying stones to be used as weapons in their heads.

After the restoration of Cheongdo Eubseong in 2009, the Cheongdo Eubseongbalbgi will be staged with various performances and experience programs

such as a requiem performance for patriotic martyrs for the country, a demonstration of horseback martial arts, and performances by invited singers and so on.
